As part of our Transaction Advisory team, you’ll work on financial due diligence, financial fact book, and valuation projects for mid-market corporate transactions. In the process, you’ll gain insight into various business models, industries, and investor scenarios – with a clear focus on financial data, analysis, and the assessment of transaction-related opportunities and risks.

What You’ll Be Working On:

Your work will focus on the financial analysis of companies in the context of transactions. You’ll analyze financial data, business models, and value drivers, and present your findings in a way that enables investors to make informed decisions. Your responsibilities will include, in particular:

Analyzing business models, financial data, KPIs, and drivers of earnings, cash flow, and working capital
Supporting buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence projects for private equity funds, venture capital funds, and family offices
Analyzing the quality of results, identifying normalizations, one-time effects, and sustainable EBITDA
Preparing analyses of net debt, net working capital, cash conversion, margin trends, as well as revenue and customer analyses
Identifying financial risks, potential deal-breakers, and key discussion points for investors
Interpreting large volumes of financial data using Excel, PowerPoint, and modern analytical tools
Preparing financial due diligence reports, financial fact books, and presentations
Validating business plans and assisting with company valuations
Participating in management meetings, expert sessions, and internal project meetings

WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING WITH YOU

A completed degree in economics or STEM fields
Ideally, a focus on finance, accounting, controlling, financial analysis, or data analytics
Strong academic performance and a passion for numbers, business models, and financial data
Initial practical experience through internships or part-time student jobs, ideally in audit, transaction advisory, controlling, accounting, corporate finance, or consulting
A precise, structured, and reliable approach to work
Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
Proficiency in German at native speaker level
Good command of English
Team spirit, curiosity, initiative, and a willingness to continuously learn

You don’t have to know everything right away. What’s more important is that you have strong analytical skills, enjoy working with financial data, and are interested in familiarizing yourself with challenging financial due diligence and transaction topics.
